Stellar Learning Academy offers your child a chance to master their learning skills, which also teaches them to master life! As parents, we want our children not only to learn, but to learn how to succeed and do well in life. Each student learns on a gradient set by the teacher and at a pace that works best for the student. Students receive daily and weekly targets which help them stay on track. The student is able to spend more time on subjects they find difficult and speed through subjects they find easier. They receive one-on-one help as soon as they need it. Students master each subject to complete their Technical Individual Program and graduate. They grow in their ability to master life as they do this.
Technical Individual Programs
New students are assessed to locate the gradient they need for each major academic subject. A personal Technical Individual Program (TIP) is created for the student based on 1) the gentle subject assessment and 2) the California Education Code requirements. A student’s TIP would include study items from earlier grades that are confusing to the student, bringing the student up to the ability level in that subject. All TIP items are mastered 100% and confidence is achieved!
100% Mastery Program
Each item on a student’s Technical Individual Program is studied to 100% mastery. Any subject material with errors in school work, homework, or testing is restudied, with teacher tutoring as needed, and students are retested until 100%. This ensures understanding and confidence. This is FUN!
Study Method
Stellar Learning Academy is proud to be an Applied Scholastics, International™ School and proud to have the right to use “Study Technology.” Study Technology is a learning system that produces a greatly improved result when used exactly. (By “Technology” is meant a method of application to obtain a specific result.) L. Ron Hubbard, educator, author, and humanitarian, developed Study Technology to help students truly understand what they study. Students essentially learn HOW to learn. Study Technology is the basis of all Applied Scholastics programs and teaching methods.
Building Strong Study Habits With Gentle Structure
Many homeschoolers thrive on choice, which is an important part of homeschooling, and which has flexibility. They can decide they would like to work on math first on a particular day, for example. They know they will finish their entire TIP. But good habits also matter. Students learn good study habits at Stellar Learning Academy. They follow a clear schedule. They study step by step, each step a little more difficult, never too hard. They practice to get perfect. STEM growth depends on practice that is both concrete and repeatable. They use a dictionary and they study to fully understand for application in life, not just to pass a test. With full understanding, they do well on tests!

Small Group
Homeschool students often want peers—but not chaos. A private homeschool is a small group that brings a few learners together for goal-focused study and practice. Homeschool is not so crowded that shy students go quiet. It is a comfortable, safe environment to ask questions. This builds talk skills, respectful debate, and active listening—useful for future success.
